Breakfast at Creekwalk Inn
In the morning, you’ll be treated to a delicious gourmet breakfast. Winter breakfasts usually are at small fireside or creek view tables for two, or guests may request breakfast delivered to their room or porch. |
Sample Menu:
Grilled glazed grapefruit half with broiled cranberries
Orange apple smoothie
Oatmeal sweetened with dates and maple syrup
Brandied peach French toast
Thick sliced apple cured bacon
Custom roast coffee or our private label organic tea blends Forestberry or Creekwalk Blooms |
We ask that guests let us know what they dislike or prefer not to eat, and then play at the chef's whim...we have served such spontaneous cuisine entrees as:
Confetti of pansy omelettes
Asparagus and portabella quiche
Baked brie stuffed with raspberries and pistachios
Our most famous entree is our own recipe for sausage roll, a pastry delight stuffed with local sausage, cream cheese, and apple or sweet potato butter and baked to perfection! Our fresh garden vegetables in summer often grace the breakfast table...fried green tomatoes, colorful peppers...
Our chef Janice has studied at the Santa Fe School of Cooking in New Mexico, so a southwest flair may surprise you, but the food always reflects a gathering of local produce, much from our local orchard and vegetable barn, Carver's Orchard, just 2 miles down the road, if not from the garden. Fresh organic herbs are always available in the window boxes for garnishing.
Don't be surprised if you experience an original dish created just for you...mixed in with the favorites such as steaming hot strawberry crepes or Janice's family sweet roll recipe full of cinnamon swirls.
Summer breakfasts are usually served outdoors on the porches...again, a private table may always be requested. |
